Information

As part of the exhibition Salle blanche / Clean Room presented at the ELEKTRA Gallery, Morgan Legaré continues his research into automation and industrial control, with a focus on production lines.
Clean rooms, a term used in industrial and scientific research settings, are sanitized and controlled production spaces designed to minimize the introduction, generation, and retention of particles in order to increase profitability and ensure the quantity and quality of production.

The artist takes a sensitive look at the minimalist aesthetic of these industrial materials, repurposing and elevating the utilitarian codes of production line machinery. The imposing yet delicate frame, made of extruded aluminum and acrylic, acts as a showcase where a 3D modeling tool carries out its protocol to generate an installation-based artistic body of work in real time.

This composition highlights the action in progress and questions artistic creation processes in the age of new technologies and mass production.
