Christian Pomerlau, GRIDSPACE
On the occasion of this worldwide meeting around creation and research ISEA Paris 2023, ELEKTRA proposes the event Focus Québec dedicated to a selection of Quebec artists of international scope.
ELEKTRA proposes to take a first look at the digital creation from Quebec with an exhibition in the Forum des Images. A dozen artists will exhibit recent works on current issues such as artificial intelligence, the place of nature in our increasingly technological society, robotics and interactivity. In a second time, you are invited to live this human/machine symbiosis by participating in this extraordinary robotic performance, Inferno, at the Cube Garges. Presented in its maximum version with 18 exoskeletons, Inferno will give you a rare symbiotic moment, which you will remember for the rest of your life.
Exhibition from May 16 to 21, 2023 at the Forum des images.
Performances on May 19 and 20, 2023 at 8pm at the Le Cube Garges, Centre culturel à Garges-lès-Gonesse, Paris, France (Registration required, limited places).

ELEKTRA proposes a series of short presentations highlighting the work of a selection of Quebec artists of international stature. These artist talks will provide an overview of contemporary artistic approaches to digital creation in Quebec.
We round up Focus Quebec with a panel of Quebec and international experts who discuss recent developments in AI and artificial life, and possible intersections with art. Can we consider AI not only as a new form of intelligence, but also as a new type of organism?
