INTERNSHIP OFFER - GRAPHIC DESIGN

From January to July 2020

ELEKTRA is an organization that promotes art and artists who combine art and new technologies. In 2020, we will present the 5th edition of the BIAN (Biennale Internationale d'Art Numérique) and the 21st edition of the ELEKTRA Festival. On the agenda, major events featuring audiovisual and immersive performances by international and Quebec artists will be held in the spring of 2020.

This exhibition will mark the beginning of a new cycle as the next three years will focus on East Asian countries in 2020 (China, Korea, Japan) and Asia Pacific in 2022.

 

ELEKTRA is looking for an intern graphic designer to join the team. Under the authority of the Communications Director, you will be in charge of creating different communication tools (digital and printed) in conformity with the graphic standards defined by the Artistic Director of the campaign (Studio Baillat).

More specifically, the selected candidate will be involved in the following tasks:

  • Work in collaboration with Baillat studio which defines ELEKTRA's graphic identity;

  • Design material for ELEKTRA's external communication and promotional tools;

  • Design and implement printed documents for BIAN, MIAN and international projects.

  • Ensure that graphic standards are respected for all communications;

  • Develop web versions;

  • Create graphic creations to feed the ELEKTRA website and social networks;

  • Design internal documentation and stationery

  • Design the printed materials related to the ELEKTRA Gallery (exhibition cartels, exhibition booklet)

 

PROFIL

  • Be a graphic design student (or a graduated student)

  • Experience in design, graphics, impression and web;

  • Excellent knowledge of the Adobe suite (Illustrator, Photoshop and In Design);

  • Proficiency in model design

  • Execute multiple graphic declinations

  • Knowledge of Adobe After Effects is an asset;

  • Flexibility and autonomy;

  • Ability to work well within a team;

  • Demonstrated ability to work on different projects at the same time;

  • Fluency in English language;

  • Have a keen interest in contemporary art, digital art, media arts and new technologies;

 

Availability

As soon as possible - July 2020: full-time - 30-35 hours / week, from 9:30 am to 5:30 pm

 

Working conditions :

Monthly compensation + payment of the Montreal - STM transit card as well as free tickets for our events and partner events.

This internship can be carried out as part of a university course with credit delivery, ETC.
