About ELEKTRA
Based in Montreal, ELEKTRA is an organization that presents works and artists combining contemporary artistic creation with new technologies, focusing on current research and experimental aesthetics.
Since 1999, our annual festival has showcased a diverse range of performances highlighting both the local and international art scenes. Since 2012, ELEKTRA has organized the International Digital Art Biennial, a major exhibition dedicated to installations. These events serve as a platform for both renowned and emerging artists, as do the exhibitions held in our gallery. Committed to innovation, ELEKTRA has been developing a virtual museum (EVM) since 2022, which now takes the form of an interactive collective experience using virtual reality headsets.
