CLUSTER 8 - Ecocreation and 3D Printing of Industrial Residual Materials
How can 3D printing contribute to the creation of new forms of materiality in relationships to art and ecology? The overall objective of the proposed research-creation activities is to rethink and redefine the paradigm of 3D printing object fabrication as well as preconceptions related to the production and management of industrial residual materials or waste. This workshop will allow participants to become familiar with research-creation and experimental research approaches in an interdisciplinary or intersectoral perspective, as well as various technical processes and concepts from the fields of ecological art practice, ecodesign, and sensory design.

MARTIN BEAUREGARD
[UQAT]
Martin Beauregard is an artist and professor-researcher at the Université du Québec en Abitibi-Témiscamingue in Canada. His research and creation focus on the development of new approaches in ecological art, 3D printing and sustainable materiality in an intersectoral perspective. He holds a double doctorate from the Université du Québec à Montréal (Canada) and the Université Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne (France) and a master's degree in Arts and Design from the École des Beaux-Arts de Bordeaux (France). He is co-founder and co-director of the Laboratoire intersectoriel d'impression 3D - arts, sciences naturelles et génie - at UQAT. His work and research have been presented in numerous exhibitions, including the Montreal Museum of Fine Arts (Canada), the Rencontres internationales de Paris/Berlin (France, Germany), the CAPC Musée d'art contemporain de Bordeaux (Bordeaux, France), and Asahi Art Square (Tokyo, Japan).
