ISEA 2025: 동동 (Dong-Dong)

30th^e edition of ISEA is themed "동동 (Dong-Dong): Creators’ Universe." Inspired by a passage from the I Ching and the mythical figure of Diotima, this theme invites us to move beyond antagonisms and imagine a unifying creative force rooted in love and beauty. It explores a worldview capable of transcending the dualities between East and West, science and spirituality, and technology and humanity, in favour of an interconnected future. In a global context marked by crises, Dong-Dong proposes a reaching out to others—a call for creative solidarity.

For this occasion, ELEKTRA has been invited to present "Focus Québec," a program dedicated to contemporary digital creation from Quebec. In addition to the installations and performances presented at the Seoul Arts Center, selected specifically for ISEA 2025, ELEKTRA is unveiling its latest project in a world premiere: the ELEKTRA Virtual Museum [EVM], in its virtual reality version. To round out the program, artist presentations and panel discussions are being held at Seoul National University as part of the ISEA symposium.
