The PHC artist collective

The PHC artist collective (Will Luers, Chad Mossholder and Amerika), in human-AI symbiosis, improvises with each other and with AI tools to probe a new kind of language-driven cinema art and explore a cinematically manifested collective unconscious. As remix artists with a deep affinity for and knowledge of the history of avant-garde and auteur cinema, the collective uses their poetic art+language skills to prompt the various AI systems to generate source material that is then postproduced into a series of cinematic artworks.

Mark Amerika (IG: @markamerika)

Mark Amerika, an artist, theorist, novelist, and professor, is considered one of the leading pioneers of net art, blending film, imagery, performance, installation, and text. His notable works, including "GRAMMATRON," have been featured in prestigious venues such as the Whitney Biennial and the Denver Art Museum. His most comprehensive retrospective, titled "UNREALTIME," was organized by the National Museum of Contemporary Art in Athens. He is the author of several books, including "remixthebook." Amerika is a professor of art at the University of Colorado.

Will Luers (IG: @wluers)

Will Luers is a digital artist, writer, and educator specializing in recombinant, computational, and AI-driven cinematic art. His work and collaborations have been recognized internationally and featured at festivals and conferences such as FILE (Brazil) and ISEA. He has a particular interest in web-based video and has published numerous essays on the evolving forms of digital cinema. Luers teaches web development, digital cinema, and multimodal publishing at Washington State University Vancouver.

Chad Mossholder (IG: @cmossholder)

‍Chad Mossholder is a BAFTA-nominated composer and sound artist. His diverse portfolio includes experimental electronic music, audiovisual art installations, and video game music. His critically acclaimed experimental electronic music project, "Twine," has performed worldwide. He has released six full-length albums, as well as numerous mini-albums and EPs on labels such as Schematic and Ghostly Records. Chad frequently collaborates with artist Mark Amerika, and their work is featured in major prestigious exhibitions.
