Connections

Born in France, Pascal Raud moved to Quebec twenty years ago. He is a literary translator (novels and short stories), but also works as a literary editor, including for the journal *Solaris*, of which he is also co-editor-in-chief. As a writer, he has published around twenty short stories in journals, anthologies and online magazines, spanning the genres of science fiction, fantasy and crime fiction. He also occasionally writes poetry. His fantasy short story ‘La Mémoire du papillon’ won the Prix Aurora-Boréal in 2021. As a trans man, he is interested in so-called ‘atypical’ and ‘minority’ voices, as well as themes relating to major transformations, both external and internal. He is currently working on a work of speculative fiction in the ‘hopepunk’ genre.
