Nathalie Bachand

An independent curator, Nathalie Bachand focuses on digital technology, its challenges, and the conditions under which it emerges in contemporary art. Her exhibitions have been presented in Quebec and Europe. Her recent projects include DataffectS; SIGHT+SOUND 2022: Dancing While Waiting (for the End of the World), co-curated with Sarah Ève Tousignant; and New Surroundings: Approaching the Untouchable, an exhibition of virtual reality works produced by Molior, which toured Quebec from 2024 to 2026.

She is a member of the International Association of Art Critics (AICA), SALOON Montreal co-founder, and sits on Avatar’s board of directors. Previously in charge of development for ELEKTRA-BIAN (2006–2016), she is currently director of digital arts development for Sporobole.
