Christian Beltrami

Montreal (Quebec), Canada

Christian Beltrami, currently an AI expert-in-residence at Concordia Faculty of Fine Arts, teaches AI and creativity and helps bridge the gap between artistic practice, critical thinking, and emerging technologies. His work is guided by a question that is both simple and urgent: how can AI be integrated into creative practice without sacrificing authorship, judgment, taste, or meaning? He helps artists, students, institutions, brands, and companies use generative AI creatively, ethically, and strategically in ideation, storytelling, content development, innovation, and production. He has also developed the Continuum Creative System, a practical framework for AI-augmented creative work, structured around three complementary loops: Mining, Semiotic, and System. The idea is simple: AI should not be used as a machine to produce random results on demand.
