Bernie DeKoven

Bernie DeKoven was a game designer, author, lecturer and play theorist. His practices and research focused on what games did for us as human beings. DeKoven was most known for his book The Well-Played Game, a 1978 analysis of how we play together, and for his long-running website, deepFUN.com. Some consider him as one of the last true adherents of the New Games movement, a 1970s counterculture initiative that promoted non-competitive, cooperative play.
