Ayoung Kim

Ayoung Kim is a media artist who blends text, sculpture, sound, video, virtual reality, AI, game engines, and live-action footage. She is interested in transmedia storytelling as a device to craft interlinked, hybrid narratives where geopolitics and speculative fictions collide. Her practice focuses on how these methodologies open portals to intersections of time and space, and create room for non-conformists. In her works, scenes repeat, glitch, and leave strange traces, making it unclear which version is the “original.” Her Delivery Dancer universe and renowned video installations have earned her the LG Guggenheim Award, US (2025).
