VIDEO INSTALLATION

Synchronicity by Robin Meier explores the natural phenomena of how fireflies found in remote parts of the world, flash bioluminescent light in unison, and how crickets chorus together in a single regulated pulse. By integrating a machine as a full- edged actor in the insect colonies, Meier’s large-scale video installation looks at the coexistence of the living and the artficial and explores the idea of free will. Artist and composer, Robin Meier explores the emergence of natural and artificial intelligence and the role of humans in a world of machines. Meier tries to make sense of these questions through musical compositions and installations.
