DRONE[s] Résonances sympathiques et autres exercices de translation - EMILE MORIN (QC-CA)

SATELLITE EXHIBITION

JUNE 14 - JUNE 27

PERTE DE SIGNAL

PERTE DE SIGNAL presents DRONE[s] as part of the satellite exhibitions program of the 4th International Digital Art Biennial – BIAN.

DRONE[s] is a digital installation buried under an analog envelope. Result of the hybridization of a simulation device and a piano made mute by the removal of its hammers, whose continuous resonances emanate from a vibratory mechanics. DRONE[s] is a translation machine with incessant movements. It is also a capture and broadcast device, which monitors and seeks to contain the very place it occupies. It (re)interprets, differs and superimposes, by iterations, this memory of space and time. DRONE[s] is a complex, oscillatory system, which deals with a multiple and sequential writing, which rejects any tendency for fixity. Sympathetic resonances and other translational exercises is its second manifestation.

Programming (motion module):  Alexandre Burton Consultants : Bruno Paillard, Guillaume Routhier, Yves St-Amant, Philippe Aubert-Gauthier Collaboration initiale : Jocelyn Robert Ce projet a vu le jour grâce à l’appui financier du Conseil des arts et des lettres du Québec Merci à D-Box ( Ala Eddine Limame, Lukas Default ), Diane Landry, Caroline Gagné, Robin Dupuis, Line Nault, Alex Burton, Michel Morin, Avatar et Perte de signal.
