BIO - DANIEL IREGUI

Colombian-Quebecois digital artist based in Montreal, Daniel Iregui creates interactive and digital installations with the objective of involving the public in constantly evolving artworks.

Daniel Iregui works with the infinite and random combinations that digital systems can produce once manipulated by the public.

His interactive works are aimed at both adults and children and offer captivating visual and sound experiences that question the viewer's position towards technological tools.

FRAMES / CADRES

Frames / Cadres is an immersion and visual and sound interaction experience regrouping three installations: The Color of Things, Outside and Forward.

The exhibition pieces explore the format of the frame as a boundary between the real world and a virtual world dominated by data, code and light. Each part is generated by a computer in real time with random algorithms.

The Color of Things and Outside, interactive pieces, invite the visitor to take part in the very writing of the work, by using sound and light. Outside questions the participant's own and virtual identity outside the framework, while The Color of Things leads him to rethink his relationship with the other. Finally, Forward explores the framework and relationship with future and present time.

Presented by Conseil des arts de Montréal en tournée and ELEKTRA.
