Québec numérique is a special event organized jointly by Elektra (Montreal) and Arcadi (Paris), taking place during the second part of the Némo Festival, as part of the 50th anniversary of the General Delegation of Quebec in France.For three days, Québec numérique shined a spotlight on digital creations from Quebec and presented a selection of important recent works on Parisian soil along with a special edition of the International Marketplace for Digital Arts [MIAN].

Québec numérique also played host to the International Marketplace for Digital Arts [IMDA], a unique rendezvous created by Elektra in 2007, which is a venue for professional networking and exchange to promote the international exposure of digital creations. On October 6 and 7 at the Gaîté lyrique, Quebec artists and organizations presented their work and met French and European professionals.

The Conseil des arts et des lettres du Québec (CALQ) hosted a round table with specialists from Europe and Quebec debating the identity of digital art and its different issues. The round table took place with Yvan Gauthier, President of the CALQ, in attendance, and with Dominique Moulon, teacher, journalist and French expert in digital arts, as the moderator.

Québec numérique is presented by ACREQ (Elektra) and Festival Némo, with the Gaîté lyrique and the CENTQUATRE. Québec numérique was made possible thanks to the support of the ministère de la Culture, des Communications et de la Condition féminine du Québec, the Conseil des arts et des lettres du Québec, the Délégation générale du Québec à Paris, the Offices jeunesse internationaux du Québec and the Conférence régionale des élus de Montréal. This project has been supported by the ministère des Relations internationales du Québec and the ministère des Affaires étrangères et européennes de la République française (Consulat général de France à Québec) through the Fonds franco-québécois de coopération décentralisée (FFQCD).

Festival Némo is produced by Arcadi, in collaboration with ACREQ (Elektra), in coproduction with the CENTQUATRE and the Gaîté Lyrique, with the support of the Nouveau Paris Île-de-France, the ministère de la Culture et de la Communication (DICRéAM), the Fonds franco-québécois de coopération décentralisée (FFQCD), the Service de Coopération et d’Action culturelle du Consulat Général de France à Québec and the Service des affaires culturelles de la Délégation générale du Québec à Paris.
